		<description>You&#039;ve got a great point, Mike. It&#039;s hard to tell the PCs where the world differs from what they walk in the door expecting. I guess, like most things in life, a balance is needed.

Also, another suggestion is to work with handouts of bulletins they may find on posting boards around town, or feed them details in rumors overheard, or even go for the town crier announcement method. They&#039;re all a far cry better than simply reciting facts from a list or reading paragraphs of prepared statements. Of course, those have their place too when the information just needs to be gotten into the players&#039; ears.</description>

But things aren&#039;t that simple in a big-picture campaign when the PCs are supposed to have access to whole encyclopedias on the game environment, and where even telling them how things are different to what they are used to (things they need to know) takes pages (to write) and hours (to read aloud)...</description>
